Becoming a Productive Play Partner & Advocate in ECEC Settings
September 6, 2017 @ 06:00 PM - 08:30 PM|20.00
This is an advanced training recommended for professionals who currently provide direct service to preschool aged children in early childhood education and care (ECEC) settings. In this training, participants will review the definition, aspects, and importance of play. Key concepts to participating productively in play with children will be introduced and demonstrated. Participants will then have the opportunity to practice these skills via role play with other participants in simulated ECEC environments with real early childhood toys and materials. Participants’ understanding of productive interaction in children’s play will be supported through instructor facilitation, hands-on experience, and video examples.
